About University Heights

University Heights is a small, centrally located neighborhood in San Diego. Bordered by Downtown San Diego, Balboa Park, Mission Valley, and SDSU, the area is a fun, vibrant urban district that’s bustling with activity. The name “University” actually dates back to the land boom of the 1880s and a plan to build a university in the area, which is now occupied by the San Diego Unified School District!

Today, the ultra-walkable neighborhood is home to a wide variety of boutiques, cafes, hip restaurants, coffee shops, and more.
